Stakeholder Reports
Canadian Parents for French (CPF) held a national forum for French-second-langue (FSL) stakeholders on Wednesday, April 21st, 2004 in Ottawa. This forum provided an opportunity for national FSL stakeholders to review recommendations from a series of provincial and territorial French-second-language consultations that were made possible by the Department of Intergovernmental Affairs, in co-operation with Canadian Parents for French (CPF). Two panels of experts discussed the provincial and territorial recommendations from public school and post-secondary education perspectives.
At the provincial/territorial consultations, French-second-language stakeholders across the country were asked to respond to findings from the national Vision and Challenges Symposium and to develop strategies, appropriate to their jurisdictions, which would assist in the realization of the goals of the federal Action Plan for Official Languages.
